About Go Buddies Founders
Animals have always been a part of my life. My very first pet was a hamster named Hammy that I received when I was 10 years old. Since then dogs, cats, mice, guinea pigs, birds, and fish have all been valued members of my family. As a teenager my fascination and love for animals led me to volunteer at a local veterinarian clinic, where I spent three summers watching experienced vets perform life saving operations. I knew then that I wanted to work with animals.
My first job was as a vet assistant. After five rewarding years of nursing pets to recovery, I decided I wanted to have more fun interactions with animals so I ventured into animals caregiving. I was hired as a zoo attendant at a private residence and I had the great fortune of caring for numerous exotic animals such as squirrel monkeys, flamingos, toucans, owls and African cranes. After moving to Oakland in 2009, I was hired as a supervisor at a small pet boarding facility and a few years later I was promoted to manager. After 10+ years in the pet care industry I realized my true vision was to develop a company that offered comprehensive pet care services that catered to all types of pets. Out of this vision Go Buddies! Pet Services was created in 2016. Mr. Miller, co-owner of Go Buddies graduated from UC Berkeley cum laude in 2008. His love and enjoyment of dogs made him decide to make dog training a part of his career. Having worked with dogs for many years, he has acquired ample experience in training using positive reinforcement techniques. He provides basic training to all our Go Buddies! pack members. |
